I Heart Costa Mesa is a dedicated space for Costa Mesa Superfandom; not politics.

We know that part of feeling passionate about Costa Mesa involves finding ways to protect it, develop it, change it, run it, protest it, vote for it, rail against it, or argue over it. We support your right to do all of the above, just not here on our website.

We’re committed to positivity and think a little unbridled enthusiasm is just what our city needs. A bit of a break from all the crabby discourse. A chance to celebrate the good.

So if you do decide to comment, or otherwise get involved, please read our guidelines below:

BE POSITIVE

This is not a place for negativity. (There’s enough of that around the Internet.) We are here to focus on the good, and we expect our commenters to do the same. If you just can’t muster any positivity, there are plenty of other websites for you.

BE KIND

We know you’re passionate about Costa Mesa. (Who wouldn’t be?) But sometimes, passion leads to fervor and we forget our manners. So please remember to be polite. Be kind. Chances are the other commenters here are also your neighbors.

BE A PART OF IT

Our website – and by extension our city – is only as good as the community behind it. Get involved. Share your thoughts and ideas. We know you’re awesome, but we need to hear your awesome and see it, too! Let’s shine the light of our love for Costa Mesa, so the world can learn to appreciate what a special place it is.

BE TRUTHFUL AND DON’T SPAM

Only share your comments/opinions if they are honest and truthful, with no ulterior motives. Spam will not be tolerated. If you’re overtly using our comments section to promote yourself, your products, or your services, we will delete your comments and ban you. If you’d like to advertise with us the legit way, here’s where you should go.

PLEASE DON’T STEAL

The work here is copyrighted. We worked hard to create it, and we own it. Please respect our ownership and don’t share images, words or works without crediting us or linking to us. If you are sharing anyone else’s work here, please give due credit for all copyrighted material. If you ever find that we have accidentally failed to properly credit anyone for anything, please contact us. We will gladly fix our gaff.

JUST BE COOL

TL;DR? Please be respectful. If you can’t do it for us, do it for the Kids…
